why? have them turned and good to go. my dads original rotors have 296000 plus on them and have only been turned once. even now they stop good but have only a very light warp to them thats just does make it noticable when breaking

    wow, Thats impressive.

I suppose I've never put 50k on a vehicle before. But I dislike cutting/turning rotors. I replaced my rotors on my last car at 30k. I don't like the idea of removing MORE material from the disc to make it even and smooth again. I want my rotors to be as meaty as possible. However, I suppose my biggest reason for not turning rotors is the fact that I can replace rotors myself. Rather than take my vehicle into a stealership or dirtbag auto shop to have them re-surfaced.

    GLWS :)

i turned my own for free. i do everything myself. put my truck on the lift at school removed calipers and took my rotors off and turned them. makes a world of difference and there is a tolerance zone. can only take so much off before they become unsafe

why? they are in spec still. Had them turned after I took them off and plus my truck is a 6speed. We don't wear out our brakes as quick.

So wait. You took them off, had them turned, and they still have a slight warp? Doesn't sound right to me.
