Not sure if I missed it or not, but does the factory controls on the wheel (volume, band, channel) still work?

What is the model type/number of your Rosen unit? Also, where did you buy it?

Is that the factory replacement? Does it look like that or is that just a great install kit?

I'm really impressed with how well it turned out

Yes the factory steering wheel buttons still work.
The model type is DSTY1090P11. And I ordered it from car toys.
It's pretty much a factory replacement. It's not an installation kit. The unit come in one piece and utilize all the factory hardware.

Another Factory Look navigation out there called CASKA. It looks just like the Rosen Factory Look but has a different interface. From what I can see from the pics you can search songs. There's a tab for keyboard on the ipod interface. If only I saw this sooner. I am still pleased with my Rosen Though. This unit is also cheaper than the Rosen and comes with a lot more stuff out of the box.

Does the Rosen increase wattage output compared to the stock factory deck??? I love the factory deck and want a Rosen, but only if its going to make my Image Dynamic speakers sound better. Thoughts???

If your smart about what you buy from ebay.. you won't have any problems. I havent had any issues with the stuff Ive bought from ebay.. this unit I would be a little weary about, because it is a expensive electronic device.. but after reading up on their product.. it seems good. Just like the Rosen but with more options.

That's correct you just have to be smart on what you buy. I've ordered a few thing off ebay and so far its good. Also ebay sell Rosen product too.

Yeah i understand that for sure. I try to avoid that Ebay brand stuff too.. even tho my headlights were kinda ebay brand. But i always wanted them so I too a chance and have no regrets. I too havent heard of CASKA, but after researching them a bit, they seem pretty good actually. my only concern Is that they are mainly for European models. Their website shows the navi for europe and stuff. But that's probably just what they are loaded with. I'm sure the one on ebay is good to go. If I had the money, id try it out.. I still might actually. Down the road a bit. It has what we are looking for Whipper.. you wanna be the guinea pig? Lol :D

I'm curious about this Caska... but if no one else has tried it, not sure I want to be the first...

I'd rather see/feel it in person before taking the plunge w/o any feedback from others.

I wish I could get a remote start... stupid laws. :pout:

Installed a factory style Tacoma navigation system on my truck few weeks ago. Purchased the unit for $649 and installed myself... so far so good!
