That doesn't sound like mine at all. Mine was going tick tick like a clock or a playing card in your bike spokes.

So is everyone who got the new blower assembly (87103-04043) installed satisfied with the fix? Does it effectively remove the chirping/squeaking at the lower 2 speeds? Or is it too soon to tell? Also, is this something that they should fix for free? If so, I'll mention it on Friday when I take it in to get the rear suspension TSB taken care of, otherwise I might just buy the part cheaper online and do the work myself.

    Thanks!

very satisfied with it. no sounds but than again ive only had it for 2 days now. They had plenty of the motors in the warehouse so my dealership knew it was a problem.

Have had the new ..043 motor in for about a month. Still silent. Original motor and one replacement motor after that each lasted about 5-6 months before chirping started. So won't be confident until this motor goes at least 6 months.

I've had the new blower motor for about a month now and no problems yet. This is my 3rd motor in 15 months so we'll see...What a stupid, annoying issue this has been.

I'm on my 2nd blower motor replacement, motor from the factory developed a chirp after 10K the 1st replacement went out under warranty just after 20K. I cant believe these things work for such a short period before annoying the crap out of you. I probably suck in a lot of dust wheeling in NV, but jeez... I guess I'll have to tear mine apart and fix it myself once the free ones are out of reach.

    Thanks for the breakdown pics
