    Looking good

Def. talk to SDHQ about gusseting/double shearing the UCA as well as reinforcing where they notched the bucket for resi hose, before you start doing anything too crazy

    truck looks great man

like max said, that notch in the coil bucket need to be addressed and some UCA gussets will be good insurance too, but you'll be able to get by with out those for a little bit as long as you dont get too crazy and have the front limit straps on (i'm assuming you do)

if you do plan on getting kinda wild with the truck there are alot more little things that should be gusseted for safe measure... you've only just begun :D

gussets for the control arms and everything next monday..
i asked about gusseting the coil bucket, ryan told me the top plate was sufficient enough for strength and shouldn't expect any damage to it...

above is my coil buckets. they take tons of stress, you NEED to get it done. and im not even long travel.

my buckets both have 3-5 cracks on each side.

Well that truck in the pic, was beat on pretty hard.

Guess it's one of those "this is the way we've always done it" type thngs.

Yeah, wonder why Icon hasn't re-done there top plate like everyone else to not require notching. Anyways...I'd have them make a ring that bridges the gap between the notch and/or install a secondary shock hoop even if you don't plan on running a second shock:cool:

these cracks are caused from eric's suspension not being strapped. now having said that, that doesn't mean the bucket can't fail even if it is stapped because it is def weakened from being notched like that.

it can happen with out the notch, but this truck wasn't running limit straps either.

the upper mounts are different for the TC and burg kits. because burg kit's "require" and specific col. length shock (dont remember what it is) the thinner style top hat is used.

the pics i posted is a 1st gen TC kit, with the thicker style mount, no bucket notching is required. SDHQ prob ran the thinner style top hat per camburgs install specs, bu the resi hose contacts the bucket, therefore it had to be notched
