My beloved current dog. A border collie mix, now 15 years old, was a maniacal puppy. I ran him to exhaustion a bunch of times. He's had hip problems his whole life - I.ve totally blamed myself all these years and have had a lot of guilt about it. Had I only known then. :(

But he's a very happy dog. (and still loves the snow)

fun stuff coming soon! New battery, radiator and CV joints and axles. Added some Rancho RS5000 shocks.
some breeds are prone to hip problems, you cant always blame yourself, vet told me its never to early to start on hip and joint supplements. so mine gets a good food with glucosamine and amino acids plus hip and joint treats at night, he loves them!

I want to say he is as tall as he will be now. he will probably fill out a little more but usually 2 years is how long labs take to fully develop. Imop

Yep, our old man has been on glucosamine his entire life. Plus grain-free food. That made a massive difference. We were also advised to put him on distilled water, which we did. We've also kept his weight down with regular, but moderate exercise. We would reign him in when we felt like he was pushing himself too hard.

The result; well, our first two vets said his hips were so bad that by six years old, he wouldn't be able to walk. He's fifteen years old now and our current vet says he is in better health than most dogs half his age. His has good teeth, great kidney and liver function etc. He's mostly blind and fairly deaf and falls down occasionally, sleeps most of the day - but still plays like a puppy (only for shorter amounts of time) and appears to really enjoy life.

He's wildly popular with our friends who just adore him (like we do). The girl who house sits for us when we are away even made him his own facebook page. dp

Well these are the two new additions (I've had them since sept.) Peak and Nanook. Sorry for the bad quality pics. It's dark out and they were making it impossible to take decent pics wanting to be glued to my legs all the time and getting pulled away from me in jealousy by the other, lol.

Nanook pulled Peak away because she wanted to have my full attention

No one has a picture of their dog pooping?? This is Bubba, a pitbull, probably mixed with something, but everyone's guess is different as to what. Likes: four-wheeling, frisbee golf, swimming, big dogs. Dislikes: firearms, squirrels.

I couldn't find the picture of him pooping. Is it OK to substitute this one

When he was months old, he humped everything. After being neutered; that pretty much stopped.
