    Yes.

I had the TRD flash before the X-1 was ever released. The X-1 will work without problems with or without the TRD flash.

where do you get the supercharger from and who would you have install it? I thought i read somewhere that if toyota does the install it will have a warranty on it, is this true?

You can buy the blower from a dealership. But there are much better deals online. Some of the best deals i've seen have been on eBay.

If the dealer installs it then warranty is for as long as you own the vehicle, and if you install it, then the warranty is for 1 or 2 years.... I believe, but don't quote me on that, as i'm not 100% certain.

It's 12 months or 12,000 miles if installed outside of dealership.

wow so if the dealership installs it, it will be under warranty for as long as i own the truck? Sounds like its worth it to have the dealership install it.

cheapest way to do it and retain full warranty is buy it online and then take it to a dealership for install. If you are impatient then just drive into a dealership and plunk down 5k and you'll have it in by tomorrow.

There is a slight difference in the 05 - 08 SC vs the 09 SC in what they refer to as the "fit kit". I had been waiting about 3 months for the 09 fit kit to come out as some items had been moved around vs the previous years models. Some other things that are different is the emisions mapping. As a result there was a delay as the Califonia emissions standards group (someone) had to approve the new map. Once this happened then TRD was allowed to ship to distribtion points around the US and sell it. So I am not sure how the new map compares to previous emissions mapping but there you go.

If you buy your parts and you have an 09, be sure to get the correct fit kit. The dealer or TRD is willing to help you with the correct part numbers.

As far as install goes... well I think I put in my post the time lines... If not I would plan for at least a day of install at the dealer. While the quoted time from TRD is 6 hours my expereince and feedback from others is that its about a full day for a Toyota tech as there are a lot of things to do. I wish I would have grabbed a few pics but the spot inspection I performed showed the entire top of the manifold and just about every attaached part to it... If I am not mistaken I think they even removed the front grill to add the addtional cooler for the Intercooler system.

So the question - is all this worth it... hell yea buddy, its worth every once of power the old girl can muster out of her when you smash the pedal down and make 60 in 6 seconds...

I wonder if those numbers are wheel horsepower or crank horse power?

OP, you should find a dyno and take a few pulls and see what type of power is really made. Would of been nice to take a few runs while you were stock to get some good baseline readings.

    pretty cool!

Those numbers are crank HP. Wheel horsepower numbers range so much based on the brand of dyno, engine efficiency, ambient conditions, etc.

These are dyno numbers from a DynoDynamic dynameter (all pulls on the same dyno). In these particular pulls, they calculate to be about 15% lower then similar pulls on a DynoJet.

    Stock: 180rwhp/230rwtq
    TRD S/C Only: 229rwhp/280rwtq - 49rwhp/50rwtq gain (27% gain over stock) - 15% Correction: 263rwhp/322rwtq
    TRD S/C w/Bolt-ons, X-1, Tuned: 297rwhp & 320rwtq - 68wrhp/40rwtq gain (30% gain over just a blower) - 15% Correction: 342rwhp/368rwtq
