You need to say you think limited government wouldn't have lead us into stupid wars, and into government bailouts, and into corporation driven government.

You can't say Ron Paul won't have been so stupid. ;)

That's true. There are political forums out there to do so. This is not one of them as CLEARLY stated in the site code of conduct.

... i think zoopla is right is saying that this thread has political underpinnings... i mean, most everything is these days, but especially the global warming/climatechange debate... i'm not sure how the mods decide what is and what isn't "political"?.. i mean, maybe they draw the line when politicians are named, or political parties are named? ... IDK, ..all i know is i've been behaving my best :D

I agree, discussions of a political nature are the first step for real change to come to fruition. however, there are places on the web to have those discussions and TacomaWorld is not one of those places.

I'd like to, once again, point out that Freedom of Speech is alive and well here in the USA> However, On a privately owned website....hmmm......like this one, there are rules that need to be followed.

i'm sort of shocked that in 2012 the majority of people believe that climate change is still a myth.

at least the people posting in this thread. it seems to me that and correct me if i'm wrong most who don't believe it are thinking that this is all propaganda spread by egg head scientist who also happen to be alarmist right?

there have been plenty of well regarded scientist who have come right out and said that what we are doing ie the modern way of life is in fact speeding the reset of our global climate. no one is sure when and i never heard anyone say that the world is going to end because of it at least not a credible climate scientist most do believe that we are vast approaching some tipping point or another.

the effects of it are not going to be good for instance one thing that has been well studied is the melting of the polar ice caps this is a problem and we are not helping the problem with all of our industrial sized farms and livestock and our pollution we are spewing out. take a trip to hong kong its fucking staggering just how gross it is over there lol. they are now getting on the band wagon with cleaner energies and will soon surpass the us in that respect unless we act this is a fact. its my opinion that we as americans are living in a time gone past the 50's and 60's are over i think its time we started taking more responsibility for our actions and their effect on the environment thats all.

religion and lobbyist should have no say in the matter it should be a debate held up on the principles of science nothing else. i mention religion due to the fact that a lot of folks believe "god" put these resources here for us to use and if it came from earth how can it hurt it. well when you refine and change things burn things you release other things it not that complicated our industry is making more people sick and i guess i'm one of those people that also happen to subscribe to the idea its also effecting our environment in every respect.

    lol.

a couple years ago when we had those big snow storms on the east coast i remember seeing an article it actually made the cover of a well publicized magazine newsweek or some other.

it had a picture of al gore on its cover and it said global warming yeah right and the article went on to describe how it was crap it was shocking yes it snows. the correlation of it snowing out side and climate change was lost on me
i just thought it was funny that it actually made the cover and btw if i'm not mistaken the whole piece was filled with non scientific dribble lol.
