bhlm today....nervous wish me luck..

so i had to take the day off today to go to court for a cell phone ticket i sent in not guilty..so i have extra time.. bhlm here i come hopefully all goes well and my mother doesnt flip out when she sees me pulling apart the front end of my truck and putting my headlights in her oven wish me luck and any suggestions are always nice too

well ive got the lights out and sitting on the floor in my room all nice and warm safe and sound... little do they know wut there in for next hahahhaahahaha... time to preheat the oven

 

clean off the actual clear plastic with some windex or something first. When I did them they were pretty dirty and I was afraid of baking dead bugs in to them.

 

Ive done about 9 or 10 sets, just take your time and seal them up good when your done. you'll do just fine...

 

do i take the weatherstripping off the top of the headlight before i baked them?

 

No take the rest of the plastic off though

i was kinda thinking of doing the BHLM but with how my truck is, i dont think it would look as good.. has anyone done a light gray or anything like that? I think for my truck, black would stand out..

 

I havent seen grey done, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. Plus if you dont like it you can always change it.

Very true. But then you could find someone who is too scared to try it and trade them lights. I am kinda in the same boat as you, but I think I will give it a shot when things warm up a bit more.

 

i would like to just get rid of the colored lenses inside the lights (ClearHLM), but i don't like the BHLM on white.

i just haven't got the guts to do it yet.

 

Do the WHLM (white-HLM) it looks awesome IMO

 

If thats your truck in your avatar, definitely do it!!!! I got my encouragement to do it because I was obsessed with a red Tacoma that had it done. Looks 1000x better imo
