What happened to global warming?

i watched a full program on this and they had over head shots of the areas and it is shrinking and relatively fast at that.

the miracle of satellites is that you don't have to actually be there to see it. the images are an eye opener at least for me

lol they had polar bears that they followed for years who's habitat just melted away right out from under them.

 

So was the "other end" (Artic) at some point in time.

 

So is the antarctic cooling at the same rate the arctic cap is melting? is it a wash?

 

Uh , the Arctic is an ocean with ice on it .

Antarctica is a continent with ice on it .

 

its just one year dude. we've gotten over 4x the normal anual snowfall already over the past few weeks.

 

The Arctic ice is decreasing .

When there is less ice every year , that means it's decreasing .

 

... how long has it been documented?... how long has "mankind" been around... still miniscule epochs in time, ..even if we have reliable mapping records dating back then (which we don't, compared to today's technology)..

many believe that the eskimos in Alaska migrated over the bearing strait from Asia, perhaps because the island chain there was fully interlinked by ice... this would suggest "melting" of ice at some point well before the industrial revolution...

the earth undergoes continual changes, ..some may be higer freq oscillations, ..others, lower freq and perhaps more prominent (ice age, ..etc.)..

 

that's what i said in my post.. they claim arctic ice is decreasing.. but, they get frustrated because when you try to squash a balloon, it just expands on the other end , ... i.e. they seem quite baffled that the ice in the antartic (that's the south pole) is increasing...

I think it was colder, (more ice) , making the oceans lower letting the people cross the straits on land.

yes its winter time or close to it you live in canada of course its going to snow and be cold but, last year sidney australia looked like fucking hell on earth lol thats not normal.

 

...who knows?., but it could be so... i use the balloon analogy, squeeze a balloon on one end, and it expands on the other ... i mean, think of how complex the weather is in just your neck of the woods (assuming your weather forecaster isn't 100% right ), ..and then to try to model the interactions across the globe - mystifying... it's a giant cluster ___

the betterment of human life on this planet has now presented us with new problems. some of which is effecting the environment and some of it is effecting us from a health standpoint.

for those of you that think its all crap spun out by the liberal media and crazy people with their phd's i pose this question.

so if we could get oil and gas and enough live stock to feed and sustain the entire worlds population the way america is sustained and run do you not think that would have some sort of an impact either?

... it could very well be fact, about the arctic ice decreasing... i haven't tried to research it, ... i.e. it's not something that concerns me because i don't attribute it to man-made phenomena..
