Yes I'm sure I have the JBL system. The 09 version, with sub, Bluetooth, etc doesn't have the RDS logo on the head unit. Not sure why they would have dropped that feature.

that's wierd, but honestly there are only a handful of stations here that use it. Of those handful most have the station name or catch phrase instead of the music that is playing. We had one station that was stuck displaying the same song for almost six months ugh. Tell you what, I'll trade you my '08 with the RDS for your '09 with the bluetooth :D

I have an 06 non JBL, but it has the txt button. Will it work for my CD's if I click a button on ITunes? If so which button?

Thanks for the offer but I'm learning to cope with no RDS. So far I'm liking the Tacoma with XM a lot better than the old jeep I had with RDS.

I'm not sure on that, I have some cd's it will read and others it won't. I have all of them with the cd title so it is really hit and miss.

Hopefully this question is not to off subject. Are the 2009 upgaded JBL radios IPOD ready or do you have to buy additional hardware? Does the song and artist info get displayed on the radio from the IPOd?

There is an aux line in next to the cig lighter. I haven't plugged in my iPod yet, but if someone else doesn't verify before I leave work I'll test the display tonight and report back.

I tested the port with my iPhone and it does not display artist/song info. All I got was "aux."
