    If you are 4WD and have tires rated for mud & snow... NO. (at least not when I wheeled up Sunrise Hwy. from Hwy. 8 to Mt, Laguna last winter with new snow. The Hwy. Patrol has a road block where you leave the freeway and asks if you are 4WD... then waves you through.

    when i got to that checkpoint last year the CHP didnt let me through, i exlained to them that im 4wd have m+s rated tires and have lots of recovery equip... still didnt let me through because i didnt have chains with me in my truck, i guess its to keep all the stupid people out, (anyone who lives in san diego and goes to the mountains in winter knows what im talking about, god damn messicans with 25 people packed in an astrovan stopping on the side of the road at the first sight of snow lmao)

    Wow, I guess I am lucky then? Unless it is an age thing (I have grey hair, lol)... Perhaps my light bar and HIDs make the truck look more able... I don't know why it was easy for me to get past them...??
