Friday afternoon my work had a mandatory meeting for all employees. Parking at our office is impossible unless you valet or have a designated spot. There were 30 employees coming to the meeting and only 10 designated spots, so I was told I had to valet my truck in the garage. Well, when the valet was taking my truck down the ramp he obviously forgot about the 2nd half of my truck as he cut the turn way too close and ran the side of my truck into a wall!!!

Longo Toyota is estimating about 3,000 in damage.
This is exactly why I never valet my truck, this was the first and last time I ever handed my keys to a valet. Never again.

use the claim money to buy sliders and to fix all that crazy noise you have going up on the front end..don't worry about the stinking dent..soon enough you'll forget that even there anyways

ah, reminds me of my first time in my taco off roading, it was less then 2 weeks old. i didn't have sliders and i fucked up my entire passenger side of my taco. it was so bad i couldn't open my rear passenger door. i had to use a piece of a 2x4 and a large hammer to pound the door sills down far enough so that i can properly open the door again

Jen, I feel your pain. This happened to me on Friday. I have no one to blame but myself. :(

That should be more then 3000 dollars in repair... That's the main cab. I would demand more money for a full repair.

Ill get sliders on my own asap, or maybe ill have enough left over after fixing the dent. See this thread, we found out my LCA is moving on its back mount!!!
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/193626-lca-moves-its-mounts.html#post4208746

I know exactly who did it. I see him every day at work. He is very nice and very sorry, I don't want him to loose his job over it. He is lucky it was my truck and not one of the doctors Ferraris or lambos.. Although I probably care more about my truck than anyone in that building cares about their ride.

Yes, they had the paperwork admitting fault before they even came to notify me. The provided their insurance broker's information, I am sure they are well insured as it is a medical tower off sunset bvld in hollywood.
I cant!! Aaron wants me to pocket the money and let him fix it but I dont want to ever notice anything from it once its fixed. Im so pissed about it.

lol I care a lot less than I did 2 years ago and if it was not this bad I might not care. But I feel like I should lower my truck, get shitty tires and suspension and fill my bed with metal. Yep its that bad. :pout:

I know what you mean man. I would be much less mad if I had done the damage myself... which is why I never really let anyone drive my truck.

Yeah I am pissed and will never just forget about it. I will probably find small imperfections even after its fixed and be mad about them too..

    !!!!!!!

    Omg glad you were ok!!!!

    :D Yes I do. LOL

Moral of the story. Get sliders NOW. Ive been dancing around dropping the money for months, now I wish I had.

OMG WTF HAPPENED?!?!? I am SOOO sorry!!!
Its actually a lot cheaper than I expected. They are going to have to replace part, if not all of the cab.

There is going to be structural damage underneath too that they could not assess. The Tacoma cab is pieces welded together so all they have to do it cut off the one part thats messed up and weld a new part on. That is standard repair per Toyota. If I needed a whole new cab Id use the money for LT.

Either way I will be fighting for the full cost of repairs and will be getting more estimates.

Longo Toyta wants to paint the door and cab and blend the front door and bed. :frusty:

i have similar damage..further back. the PO just rubber malleted it out, and left it. i'm cool with it.

hopefully a valet crushes the same area, and fixes it for me. :)

So sorry. It's always worse when someone else does the damage for you. Its another thing when you do it yourself. Don't forget to thank your boss too. :D

Really Steven? No details? :smack: Wait! I don't want to know.
