one ugly topper

according to my kids, I got an ugly top... I kinda like it though... Self made incorporating Trac Rac and couple of things from local Home Depot.........

i like it! i don’t think it “ugly” but maybe just not as slick and as the ones you by. if you now what i’m saying. i have not seen a soft top that you can have a rail or rack over/around. so i think it is really nice.

 

Ugly? Maybe. Awesome? Definitely. The only thing I don't like is that the top doesn't come down to the bedsides... but maybe you made it that way for a reason?

 

If it meets your needs and does what you designed it to do, that is all that matters. Personally I think it looks pretty good, but I appreciate when someone puts the time and effort in to build something themselves.

 

Thanks a lot!!!! You guys made me feel ok..... I was planning to make the side canvas cover next and might change the color to black. The good thing with this is it didn't take me more than a hundred $ to do it. Those tops can be really expensive if you buy it. Plus I can use the top load that can carry like 800lbs according to Trac Rac. Basically it's like a Can Bak design...

it's way cool. once you make the longer sides, post pics. it's definitely a keeper.
