Im thinking about buying some 255/75/17 BFG MTs. They are like $96 a pop. I know its a skinnier tire but what you guys think?

I wont have to worry about rubbing anymore!! :D

Anybody run this tire size?? I need some input. Do you like? Do you not like? They handle good or bad? Look to skinny?

the tires might look a lil weird on the rims b/c they are rated for like 7-8.5". the tires will run on there, but depending on the rim BS, they might rub

are my tires going to look tiny?????? i have alot of life left in them and don't have the money to buy bigger ones right now.....

are they going to be big enough to turn the billy's up to 2.5???

i've got 3 1/4" in the front and 3" in the rear and they do look kinda dinky. i'll be taking them off as trail rims/tires only and getting some 285/75/16's and rims for DD

Im sick of my damn 285/65/18's they rub so much with my 3" lift!!!! I rub at U turns full lock I rub at barely turning the wheel when backing up, I rub when I pull into a parking lot and wheel is slightly turned. The only time I dont rub is when im on the free way. Im sick of it and all the girls that ever drive in my truck get scared when they hear it. As you can see im frustrated with it.:mad::mad:

Just saw this thread- Yep, I'm running them. I love them, they dont rub, are surprisingly quiet on the highway(quieter than my cooper AT's I used to have) and are awesomely cheap. BTW, I'm running mine on a set of 17x9s too.

Oh really? Hope mine don't do that too much. I don't mind some tire noise but I don't want it to get too extensive. I think I probably have about 6K on mine now.

so far I've only noticed 1 chunk taken out of one of the back tires but have seen some grooves in a few tread blocks.

Yes I have done a lot of trimming. I think I need the pinch weld mod which I'm hesistant to do. The Nitto TG's are just a wider tire on the top compared to BFG AT and other similar tires and cause a lot of rubbing.
