Ya that's what i saw on pirate 4x4 from a guy that works there. Happened while they were at baja1000. That sucks to hear, but hope they make a good return. If you are looking for a cheap shock it's a good place to go.

    ...too much shit to list.
    .

I didn't look into getting mine rebuilt, I did look at finding a rebuilt motor however. Prices were skewed all over the place. The only one I found consistent positive comments about the rebuild work was the ones from LC Engineering. Everything else seemed to be a crapshoot.

For me. I decided that because I own the truck out right that its better to just keep it. Its a good platform to build off of because it already has most of the big parts and fab done. This year (2012) is going to be my rebuilding year for my life from all of the poor choices that I have made in the last year and a half. So I'm hoping with this new job and buckling down myself I will have all my debt besides my mortgage paid off by this time next year and I then I can get a nice Used 2nd gen or FJ as a Daily driver and Tiffany as my weekend toy. Then I don't have to worry if I have it ripped apart or if i rolled it because I still have the other car. I really want the truck I can look and be proud of like I was with the old one. I think with a few grand this thing could be a monster.

Its the spindle that they build for the Beast FJ. Its a stock 2nd gen spindle that has been stripped and then they made 4130 plate that is tig welded all around the whole thing to make it stronger and bullet proof. I have seen them in person and they look great and are beef.

After hand siping the military goodyear m/t's I went for a test run to see if they had more traction on the ice. No dice, but it was slicker than greased owl shit too so anything without chains or studs would slide all over. They did ok in the crusty snow though.
