New puppy, keeping him warm

ide say he probably ok outside, some people are gonna throw a bitch fit and say its cruel to let them stay outside, but they are dogs, they lived outside before we gave them houses. as long as you have them taken care of according to where you live, they are ok outside, maybe bring him in if it gets below freezing if hes still a pup, unless he has a mate to keep him warm, they lived in packs in dens in the wild, put him a fluffy stuft animal in there as his mate to keep him warm.

 

Agreed. Those are great looking dogs. The one below looks like my old one before he died of cancer last year

Sounds like your Taking the correct steps OP. The people on the last page have the right idea. There is nothing wrong with having outside dogs, in fact I'm pretty sure my dogs would hate it if they were pent up all day. They need space to roam. Luckily we live in CA so there isn't much of a winter for them. Ignore all the people who think having outside dogs is cruel, they obviously spend too much time inside.

 

I figured we could always us more pics of dogs. These are Akitas (not Rotweilers as many seem to think.) They are VERY equiped for cold weather. As are the horses . (But lets not get started on that animal being outside.)

 

Yea i believe that the people that lock there dogs inside all day and only go out to poop/pee are cruel. I mean what dog does not love to be outside and play. The dogs I have owned and my family owns love when it snows. The puppy I expect will be no different.

How are they mistaken for Rotweilers? No even close. Great lookin dogs thought, but you better get that horse inside and let it sleep at the foot of the bed.

LOL those are draft horses. The little one (Beligian) weighs in at 2200 lbs, the Percheron is 2600. I dare you to sleep under that!

 

Sounds like you might need to beef up the bed frame.

 

whew! Only if the bed was made of steel. Those are some heavy beasts! Gorgeous too!

 

Not sure how..... It just happens frequently. I guess because my Male (the white one) is so large (about 135 lbs)

 

lol my cow in the pic would come inside if you let her, i had her in the yard one day, and the window on the house was open and she stuck her head in.

Kick the wife out of the bed and let himi sleep t the foot of the bed. HE will be more of a compainion than any female will.

 

I want a farm Sounds like a Disney movie- cows sticking heads in windows, horses sleeping on top bunks... Not in little ol' El Cajon...
