AND I HATE IT!!! I had been looking at cold air inakes for a while and I was leaning towards K&N since I've been using their porducts since 1992 Anyways, I had an Amazon gift card and on "Cyber Monday" I decided to pull the trigger on the K&N part #63-9025 Air Charger Intake Kit. I was really excited about getting this thing on my truck. I had never owned a CAI before and since I tow a boat I figured the purchase would be more than justified. The insall took me about 2.5 hrs. Everything needs to be assembled and the directions could've been better. Right off the bat, I noticed that my truck idled differently. I wanna say that I feel a little vibration at idle that I know wasn't there before. Another problem is that this thing is LOUD!!! So loud that the other day I passed a Prius on the fwy and afterwards I ended up w/ a headache. I have experienced a power gain (in the higher rpm ranges only) and the throttle response has improved a little. My gas mielage has not improved at all. I already contacted amazon and I will be returning the unit this week. I'm planing on putting the money towards a drop in filter and tube style side steps instead.

That sucks man... You're not alone, a lot of people have purchased CAI and found out the same thing. Also, your K&N will sap power, not increase it because it's pulling hot air from the engine bay vs. cold air from the fender like the stock intake. Your best bet for intakes is the AFE Stage 2 Si or the old style TRD. Even with those 2 you'll get better throttle response and more noise only. I don't believe there is an intake made for the trucks yet that have any real gains or MPG improvements.
