    Hi All:
newbie here, a bit late to the party...but hey....sh*t happens. And I have been reading and looking and researching....the transformation begins!

So, big week end. Ordered a light bar from Snobord55, then 2 sets of lights, I will install them sometime after X-MAS when I get some time, also inbound A/R ATXseries, "Ledge", black, 16" wheels, (4) Nitto Terra Grapplers, (265/75R16's), a timbren system (for towing) and a 2.5" ready-lift kit for front and rear.....gonna start the new year off right. Now I need to let the card cool down for a bit it is definately too warm from usage. I also need to prep the wife, usually it is small packages that I can empty and throw out real quick......but this time, UPS will be here a few times...she will, no doubt, be displeased........ until she drives it! Tehn she will want to trade.

Oh yeah, a new antennae, cuz some a-whole tore mine off.

When I get a chance, I will take a few b4's and then once it is all set, in the next few weeks some "afters."
    Thankx for the help.

Hey, Tacomanator, I see you have JBA headers and exhaust too. I just put those on my 1995. I have this annoying ticking sound coming from the collector area, right after the cross-over pipe when I accelerate in gear. Have you ever had this happen with your setup? The crazy thing is, it doesn't make that ticking noise when I'm in neutral. Everyone says I have an exhaust leak, but when I'm in neutral and accelerate the ticking isn't there. Can someone explain that? Thanks!

Hmmm.... The previous 250,500 miles there was no ticking. After the headers and exhaust install there is ticking. I have to assume the ticking noise is coming from the headers. I just torqued everything down again and the ticking continues. I'm at a loss at the moment.

And an FYI to anyone with a 2.7L and thinking about getting budbuilt skid plates...

Impossible to change the oil with the skid plate on. Oil plug location is a problem and the opening is 1.5" in diameter. Designed for the V6 I guess. Time to get one of those fumoto valves.

    Dark T:
Sorry that I can't be of any help to you with your exhaust issue. Mine have had no issues at all. Just as a suggestion, ever speak with the guys at JBA?- they were extremely helpful to me when I was going through the process. It seems that bunch of guys, in here, with way more expertise than I, might be able to help track down the source.

Are you joking? Those fools at JBA don't know squat about what they sell or it's represented wrong. My catback rusted the first year I had it. Called them and they tried saying it's not stainless. It was marketed as 304 ss. I ceramic coated it in july and it's already rusting through that. I should have bought borla.

That's odd, mine looks fine and I live in the salt belt. Where did it rust through?

Changed the blades as some snow was falling. I've had the Goodyear Assurance wipers (17") on my truck for two years and they're still fine, but decided to spend the $16 on a new pair to upgrade the size (kept the 17" as spares in my bed box)

    New blades:

    Driver's side: 19"
    Passenger side: 18"

Work great, plenty of clearance from the molding and a nice upgrade in size.

    Thanks isu...

    You're welcome.

Somewhere back around page 398 or something, ISU enlightened me about the new sizes, so kudos to him.

Yeah, I about punched myself in the face 5 times for buying those icons.

If you live in Florida or something they may be fine, but they lasted all but 4 months here in Colorado. The summer UV killed them, and by the time below 35 degree temps rolled around they were worthless. The Icons have one of those overrated reputations on many auto enthusiast forums, IMO.

These $8 Goodyear Assurance blades are more than adequate in summer and winter and have gone two years on my truck. What else do you want in a blade?
