the straight 6 sucks? are you serious?jeeps have issues, like everything else. most problems we see on jeeps is the death wobble, usually from ghetto lifts and shitty steerinh stabilizers. but the engines rarely give us problems. and when they do,they r easy to fix

    yes your exactly right.
the new motor is better. people should be seeing it this year.
ive worked for chrysler jeep and dodge for 10 years as a tech.
even when we supercharge the newer jeeps with the mini van motor, they dont get out of their own way.

Pretty sure tacomx was joking. Everyone loves the good ol amc/jeep 4.0 straight six, other than maybe the mileage. You guys are right though that putting a minivan engine in a legendary 4x4 was a terrible idea. The new pentastar v6 sounds pretty badass though.

    and to the OP:

How do you like driving a giant rollerskate around? :p

Funny...I pull out other people out when it comes down here, in my Jeep.

I've never had a problem on/off road with both snow and ice.

    I was.

I know a lot of guys w/ cherokees that have the 4.0 straight 6 and they keep chugging along no matter what (almost like a toyota 4 cylinder ;))

The new v6's they put in them cant hold a candle to the old I6's.

If I ever got a jeep it would either be a YJ or a TJ rubicon.

The new JK's have gone to the mall crawler side of the spectrum...

You'd think Jeeps were standard issue here on Fort Bragg. I have a neighbor who's been trying to fix his Jeep since he bought it, just looks like a money pit. Good Luck.

    Nice looking Heep:rolleyes:, I started with 06 With 15000 miles, Inline 6, 6 speed, 3in lift, 32, 4.56 gears back in 09. Loved it
Reason I got rid of it was 12 MPG, Tacoma seemed more reasonable for everyday driving, and when it had 17000 miles it blew a lifter so had to replace cam and all new lifters jeep wouldn't warranty it. 1500 if dealer did it 700 if i did it:mad:
