    Ok, My Turn...
Hey all, [IMG] New to the site. I do not have a Tacoma yet but it's on the brain. I do have a Toyota product though. A 2007 Yaris 3dr HB. It's my first Toyota ever and I do love it. I've had it for 7 months and not one lick of a problem. Just put on the Blizzaks so I'm ready for the season, plus 40+ miles a gallon makes it even nicer.

If the Toyota quality lives up ,then I'll step up. I've owned pickups of the big 3 and it's time to see what Toyota can do for me. The Tacoma appears to be just the right fit.

So many choices to make. I will be pickin' the brains of all here so grab a cold refreshment and hang on.

Thanks for the site, the invite and the insight.

    Chat soon.

Welcome to TW, considering where you're from I would get a 4wd. I don't know what your requirements are but don't be afraid of the I-4 engine, with fuel prices as they are, and as stout as this engine is, it's a good choice. If you get a new one the factory tires suck, do a quick up grade, there are MANY threads about tires, there is a good chance you could go blind reading them all !! As for reg. cab vs access cab vs 4dr, if you are a loner, reg. cab, if you have a "significant" other, access cab, and if you have kids, 4dr. As for mods you are on your own, I think I want a snowcone machine, but that's just me. Good luck and Drive on. :burnrubber:

Thank you.... I have a good idea of what I want and the know-how to add to it (along with the help, thoughts and guidence of all here). I have awhile before this purchase takes place so I have a pen and paper handy.

I've built a truck before. I had a 2003 Ram 2500 Quad this and that. I took 2nd place at a Connecticut State Mopar show in the truck division. Didn't do it alone though so I'm up for help and suggestions.

That SC guy, I did time in Columbia SC, I lived in the SandHills area just off of I-20 at Clemson. I have an Aunt that lives there. I'm hoping to get back soon. I'm up to my kneecaps in snow and she's telling me it's 80+ degrees. I loved it there and didn't mind the sweat and the feeling of the Amazon on those July-August days. Humidity makes the skin glow!

    Thanks again folks...

Pssssttttt...How do I turn off the e-mail thingy that sends a notice everytime someone replies?

Go to the User CP (near the top of the page), then Edit Options, then under Default Thread Subscription Mode, set it to No email notification. That'll stop it for all future threads.
