only a few are (like the sorrento, or whatever), OP said it was a gas saver car

My dad had a 2010 kia rental car, and it said "MADE IN KOREA" on the door sticker.

The "made in usa" statement on their commericals are misleading...IIRC only the minivan (sorrento?) is made in the USA.

And they are still mostly Korean and Chinese parts, like 75%+

Our tacoma's are 65%+ domestic parts IIRC. The news ones are 75% IIRC

Toyota's hold value really well. Especially a double cab 4x4. I think you could get 12,500 out of it.

^ Agree, Do you still owe on it? Thought about refinancing if you owe? How about selling the bike instead? Just throwing some options your way.

I'd be selling the Harley. That's a no brainer.

U R absolutely right. One problem, your truck as nice as it may be, still has 200K on the odo. The only bank I know that would finance such high miles is USAA, and guess what, not too many people are USAA members.
There maybe others, but it still be tough to find a bank that will lend for such high miles.

Have you though of selling stuff off like the super and such? That should generate some cash. Selling that HD now would be suicide, unless you had a FL, AZ or CA buyer. You could sell in the spring and get top $$$ though

You could always try to sell cash, but a cash buyer would smell blood, and go for the kill. You have the right idea, now you need to make the right execution. Good luck!

PS: Those who value a truck over a wife/gf? Please get real, and try to find a truck that will keep you warm in bed on a cold night... Or you are with the wrong person.

Yes, motorcycles sell better in the spring but if finances are bad riding a Harley as a DD compared to a car is just not logical in my mind. Plus the motorcycle market is horrible right now period.

Its not about valuing the truck over a wife/gf; its about having a wife/gf who wont allow you to get rid of a truck you love because they know how much you love it.

Fair enough, I stand corrected. But in life sacrifices must be made. If it was easy, it wouldn't be live, it would be "movie of the week"!!!

We could go on & on... (OP) You obviously have a steady income, how about a budget? How did it come to asking TacomaWorld.com for help convincing the "spousal unit" to keep the truck? Not busting your chops just got to ask. I'd still say the HD qualifies as more of a "toy" than the Tacoma. Let us know.

Yup, HD would be gone if it were me.

Well if it were me I would have never bought one but that's beside the point.
