^Not necessarily. It really depends on what type of wheeling you enjoy doing. I do a lot of wheeling on the sand dunes here in Oregon. You don't really need a locker for wheeling in the sand.

I went wheeling recently with some buddies of mine this last month. About half of the crew didn't have e-locker on their trucks. Most of them did pretty well on the trails we hit. One of my buddies didn't have an e-locker and made it up this crazy, slippery hill. I didn't even make it up this hill and I had an e-locker... Haha.

My lord, i can't believe i've been wheeling (and wheeled it quite fucking hard) with my Bj's on bass-akwards. And it looks like my current angles put even more stress on the brackets than the stock set-up.
I feel so embarased, although i got my truck with the suspension as is and this is my first yota SO...the learning begins.

Changing it tonight, thanks for the heads up. Hopefully this will lift me up a little and i can bring my upper control arm back in towards the bucket. I thought the fact that i needed a 3/4" spacer back there was a little odd to get the camber right.

good to know, how much does it lower it? I'd imagine an inch tops...

So i was just reading up on ball joint flip and it seems my ball joint is on the factory side of the controll arm but the opposite side of the spindle. It also apreers that the thrust arm on my truck is bolted to the top of the controll arm whereas the factory places it below the controll arm. Shoul i move the thrust arms to below the controll arm after i place my ball joint above the spindle mounts?

Heres a ball joint flip thread... Definately not whats going on with my truck. Fuck me my shits all backwards built.

your strut rod is correct on top of the arm. that thread you posted was for a toyota pickup and they might do that since they lower it it changes the angle of the strut rod and maybe the bushing wears funky?
