    I read something at the beginning of the year where he was in the "dog house" after being a healthy scratch... haven't heard much since then. He's a big kid, he's shown great hands in the past, and has a physical side as well.

    I think it's more of him stepping up to the plate now that Richards and Carter were traded, but he's not doing that either. I guess he'll finish the same as last year, he's on pace for 22 goals (8G in 27Games) he finished with 21G last year

    You are likely correct. While these are not bad stats, he was a 2nd overall pick. This comes with high expectations ..Still, A lot of teams would happily take a guy like Van Riemsdyk of Phillies stable... he is only 22!
