Shocks Question

I am going to be installing a spindle lift and the all pro 3" leaf kit within the next 3 or so months. Are the Bilstein 5100's suitable with this or should I upgrade to something else?

The 5100's are not designed for 3" of lift in the rear. You should get the 5125's, they come in custom lengths. Call downsouthmotorsports to find out which is best for you.

 

Personally, I wouldn't get the 5125's on a 2nd Gen. There is a 5100 that will accomodate a 3" lift, just be careful with ones you order. The 5100's come in 2 lengths: 0 - 1.5" of lift and 3 - 4" of lift. The reason I wouldn't get the 5125's is because the adapter adds something like 1.5" to the shock length but does not increase travel. I'd look at the longer 5100's or at least consider them. KPT is correct though, the 5125's will work for your application, just wouldn't be my first choice.

 

Thats true I forgot about the 5100's that are designed for the RCD drop bracket lift, which has a 4" block in the back.
