So I'm done shopping and I'm off work all week. (Vacation time paired with holidays) My wife's working so I kinda volunteered to go pick up a gift for her step-father today. I "thought" it would be an easy stop being Monday and before lunch time, and then go take her to lunch afterwards. I was WRONG! My God at the people out shopping, it looked like a weekend at Christmas time. Couldn't hardly find an effen parking place, people being rude as hell and after all this they didn't have what I was after! So I wound up having to go to the mall. That's where Dick's sporting goods is. About got in a fight over a parking place there. Pulled all the way to the outer part of the mall lot in the grass, a car was backing out so I waited, not many options. So the guy is backing out when a line of traffic come barreling through cutting in between me and the spot. I just knew one of them was going to pull in, fortunately they didn't or I would have gotten into it with them. It was quite obvious what I was waiting for, IDK why they couldn't wait for me to get out of the way. In the mall everybody walking w/o looking where they were going, had to stand in line 20 minutes and just when I start checking out my wife calls and wants me to pick up another of the items I'm getting for her sister to give since I was having a hard time finding it. It was a camouflage life vest btw. We are each giving one to their step-dad. So I had to go get another one, stand in line again which by now is even longer! I will never do any Christmas shopping this close to Christmas again! I hope everyone has their shopping done, I don't have the patients for it. I thought well I'll go pick this up at Bass Pro Shops and get to enjoy my day "man browsing" as my wife calls it. I was so frustrated I didn't do much browsing, just got the hell on my way for the most part. Took me pretty much all day between traffic and then lunch with the wife then to the mall. I would rather just have worked today.

Anyway just had to vent, Merry Christmas!

Her family says no gift cards. I know this all too well because all I want is stuff for my truck that cost way more than they will spend on me so I said gift cards for Amazon, Best Buy or just Visa would be great. No deal. So I had to come up with a list of stuff, so I'll be getting things I that I'd rather have the $ to put into the truck. Maybe I can return things for cash? :D

Yea. I'm always late getting gifts. You have to steel yourself for all the bs beforehand. It's almost an impossible mission...

Internet even if you have to pay extra for shipping it's worth it. Click, click, click and your done, no need for parking and long lines. Just make sure you can get your package when they deliver, there have been a number of thiefs after the packages have been left at peoples front door.

Normally I'm pretty good about getting this done early. All of my side of the family has been so late getting me wish lists this year that I think I'll finally finish tomorrow.

Also, in case anyone is unaware...sign up for Amazon prime trial to get a 30 days worth of free 2 day shipping on eligible items. Or ShopRunner does a 30 day trial also on it's free 2 day shipping... just be sure and cancel before the trial is up.

A little of this and a little of that.
Mike (OP), you went too early. If you waited until Saturday around 5 in the afternoon you could have had the place to yourself. :D

    Merry Christmas
