I have a pair of Retrofitted headlights (good condition) that Im thinking about selling. I finished these in August with Morimoto D2S minis. They have the LED's like the Audi and 6000k D2S lights.

I want to sale them for $275+shipping and exchange for your OEM headlight that must be in good condition. I do have a problem with the driver side light, every once in a while it flickers but I talked to Matt at the Retrofitsource and he said that it sounds like its just the wiring harness. You can purchase the harness at TheRetrofitSource.com for $20.

Not bad, it started last week with only flickering a couple of times wile driving a distance of about 15miles. I think it might just be a loose wire somewhere in the harness.

Nice work! On the flickering issue it might also be a ballast going bad. The only way to know for sure is to put in some good working ballast. You can also test if it's the bulb by switching them and seeing if it does it on the other side (follow the flicker). Good luck with the sale.

a flicker is fine the parts to fix this are cheap compared to the deal this guy is putting out there. even if it was worst case scenario and you had to purchase new ballast and a harnes you would still be way under a 100 bucks. so long as there is no water issues and it doesn't sound like there is or anything wrong with the projector itself.

this is a smoking deal for somebody glws and free bump man :)

You have any plans for doing a 2012 retro? If you did it for the same price, I wouldn't have a problem with that.

I'm going to try and change my front end to the 2012 by spring and I will be doing it to those lights. I wouldn't be able to sale them any cheeper than $330 because thats what the cheapest projectors come out to after shipping. I'd be loosing money.

Alright, if you can get the bugs worked out & keep us posted on the performance on them, I could definitely deal with that price. I have read on a few threads that there is a bit of a problem with heat off the projector which is causing the bezel to have problems staying on the projector. If you don't have any water problems or heat problems, I might be the first 2012 customer lined up for that.

What a deal! Just the complete retro kit for this is 290.00 retail... a flicker isnt a hard issue to resolve. Swith the ballast like mentioned before, if it moves to the other side its the ballast. If it stay on the same side, its either the bulb or wiring harness.

Ok I switched the ballast so I will see tonight if it keeps flickering. I take my truck in through the car wash every 2 weeks and it's been through some warm days and really cold days. I've had no fogging.

you where saying that the retro was done back in the summertime right?

if so i'm not sure how old the rest of your gear is but, if its less than a year old trs should replace it for you for free.

if it is the harness thats really cheap to fix ya know make matt send you out a new one. and if its the ballast same thing they carry a one year replacement warranty.

i had a ballast crap out on me because water made its way into the little deutsch plug thingy and shorted it out:eek:

they made me cut the wire off the end take a pic email it to them and in like 2 days i had a new ballast. lol btw now i use dielectric grease in every single plug on the truck that i could reach then i covered each one in liquid electrical tape to keep the weather out.

the only thing that would cause a flicker would be a ballast or a harness both are cheap buddy this is a really good deal!

dude 275 for a completed retrofit thats only a couple of months old shit man doesn't get much better than this.

absolutely! thats what i was trying to figure out in my last post.

trs has always been cool with stuff like this its rare but, i have always had everything replaced and fast at that.

still i mean a 275 dollar retrofit dude thats pretty crazy man. for reference i'm doing a set and selling them for 500 in a couple weeks and thats a pretty decent price. lol stuff like this doesn't come along to many times and certainly not at these prices.

That sounds like a bad ballast. I just had to hit Slim up for a replacement ballast because the replacement harness he sent me had no difference. Constant flicker on driverside headlight when turning on. The headlight also goes off/on all the time. I would check your ground wire and see if it is making good contact, but I still say it's the ballast.
