So, thought I'd see who else out there has a daughter who loves their daddy's Taco as much as dad. Sadly, I'm selling my '99 Taco and keeping my 4th Gen 4Runner and slowly building that up. She is more sad about it then ME! She begged me not to sell it because she wants it when she can drive...and she's only 6! Thought I'd start a thread for proud Taco dads to show pics with their Taco loving daughters (or sons, doesn't really matter).

Us two before a hike and 4x4 day in Cascade Creek, Durango, CO

Teya sitting in the Taco during a cruise up La Plata Canyon west of Durango to an elevation of 12K feet!

P.S. screwed up the thread location, wanted it in "Off Topic - Sports, Hobbies, and Interests"

    I agree ... way too cute! :)

If you can afford to keep it, put it in storage somewhere. In 6 to 8 years you can pull it out and start building it with her. Those hours spent together in a project are priceless ... it's not just about the truck ... the truck is just the means. ;)

The next 12 years will pass by quicker than you realize. :(

Man i wish i could keep the Taco for her. Unfortunately i need the money to put towards the 4runner (payments and to jack it up). The 4runner is more daddy-friendly. I was heartbroken when last night she ran up and hugged the truck saying "i hope nobody wants to buy you, but you're too pretty for someone NOT to want you" :(

AGREED! But, I also promised her we'll go Tacoma shopping when she's old enough and we'll build it up together. She got super excited. Now when we drive around she scans used car lots for tacos she might want. I'm so proud of her! Until then we'll make new memories in the roomier 4runner.

jesus christ dude lol i'd have to keep it for her man.

if the truck is straight man try and figure something out if she knows your keeping it for her she will be so excited lol.

you could make it look all cool for her so when she gets her license she will have a nice ride to drive around in that will remind her of you and being a little kid.

besides the money your going to get from the 99 is not going to be a whole lot right?

edit: this would also save you some money down the road cause whn the time comes your not going to be car shopping :)

My daughter is only 7 months old, but she is always smiling when she gets to ride in my '98 Taco.

I look forward to buying her a used taco in 15 years and working with her to build it up.

Her and my son will have to fight over my dead body to get this truck!

Haha i know right. Reading my own posts makes me sound like a horrible dad! Luckily I don't HAVE to sell it. SO i'm not in a rush to sell it to the first buyer. I wont sell it just to sell it. We'll see how the next month plays out financially and see what happens.

All 3 of my kids argue over who gets the Taco. Girls 12 and 10 probably got an inside edge over my 5yo son.

I dont have any pictures right now, but my kids both girls ages 4 & 6 love riding in the Taco, every time we go some where my kids always say to there mom lets take the truck, so most of the time we are always driving my truck rather than driving the wifes altima. :)
