    A few bolts are different.
only one compatible for the kenwood headunits i think. for 599 I would just go ahead and buy the 5120 with it built in.

When I purchased my DNX5120, the Ipod cable, Bluetooth cable, and Satellite radio hookups were optional accessories.

Get this cable for the DNX5120. It allows you to control the ipod through the touch screen of the Unit. Very fast/easy to use. You can lead that wire into your glove so your ipod is hidden. It also charges it, which is a plus.

I also just purchased 5120 from crutchfield. Got it for 600$ with mounting bracket. Also just purchased all new infinity speakers and boston acoustic sub. Will be putting it all in this weekend. I love the fact that this site has the military service thing displayed cause me and lazy navy taco have something in common. I am going to ask him to come by and help out saturday since we live in the same city! I am gonna post up all the photos in the audio video section. My biggest concern which I have not heard any one say anything about is weather or not you can have gps going with music in back round and if you can will music fade to hear garmin voice commands? I guess we will see. I will have detailed post about all this so if anyone else is interested check back saturday night.

You guessed right... When you have the ipod blasting and a destination plugged into the GPS, it will quiet the music down and give you directions. More specifically, you can even adjust where the voice comes from (what speaker) and how loud her voice is.

The interface is so seamless switching between sources, its amazing. You can even push the FNC button while looking at the GPS and little ipod/dvd/tuner controls come up at the bottom of the GPS screen so you can continue to concentrate on your nav. pretty cool, i get a lot of compliments from passengers when they watch me work it

the ipod cable doesn't allow videos to play from ipod touches and iphones. so if you were hoping to watch that porno you happen to have loaded on your itouch or iphone, you're out of luck.

bummer, but i've noticed i don't really watch that many movies in my truck unless a passenger wants to on a long ride or if i'm trying to get weird with a minga

If you look at the touch screen (top right) there is a source button that toggles between three sources and all of them. Press that and the ipod along with other sources such as XM, bluetooth, etc will show up. Given that your ipod is properly hooked up with the cable, it should load and be playable. hope that helps
