i saw the hill. but how do i know he didnt pull that pic from somewhere else and just create a thread to get attention. im not saying hes lying. but under what info we have got from this thread i find it disbelieving. and i say this under these reasons:

    1. to me the pic may not do it justice but you should have no problem climbing that hill if you have ever driven in 4wd before.
    2. you walked back to town in 30 minutes and found no help?
    3. you dont know anyone with 4wd within an hours distance?
    4. tow trucks didnt want to help you out even though they could make a good amount of money? (yes i know you contacted them and gave some excuse)

maybe im missing something but i know wv very good. i own a cabin in franklin and spend a good 2 - 4 months total in wv every year. everytown i have been to in wv 1/3 of the vehicles are trucks and over half of those trucks are 4wd. its hunting season therefore hunters are out in the woods, using 4wd, and enjoy getting their trucks dirty. if you cannot find a person to help you in a days time to get you unstuck then there is seriously something wrong. even an suv with 4wd could have pulled you out. with a long enough tow strap or 2 tied together, im pretty sure a 2wd truck/suv could have pulled you up that hill. what does this nate character drive? pretty sure he could have pulled you up the hill if he was on flat ground at the top.

maybe its just me. maybe im just stupid but i am clearly not connecting the dots on this adventure of yours

You need to make friends with some jeep owners. I got stuck pretty bad a couple years ago and posted up on here and just got a few pages of people telling me i'm a dumbass "which is probably true". My buddy threw my number up on a jeep forum and I had a half dozen people call me and ask where i was at within the hour. Tacomaworld is a good place for mod info but not the place for recovery help.

Whether he was actually stuck or not, the last thing on my mind if it had been me that was stuck would be to take photos.

there were plenty of people saying they would help if they were closer, he had plenty of opportunity to go get help himself, this site is great, other people even tried calling friends to get them to go help him, think you need to look back and read from the beginning.

We have been here for 3 days with the end result just not making complete sense. Thus we have our doubts.

even if you had 3 days, alone, bored on tw, while people constantly asking for pics to remind you to take those pics, sitting around and scouting new trails to get you around this massive hill?

i think i would have came up with more pics than just that one. lol
