R34 over M3 any day. My wife is dying to get a 2002 M3 and we test drove a bunch of them.. Sure they are nice, quick, but they don't come off as anything special to me. It's a nice car, but not worth it.

Only if you buy one assembled in Mexico.

Let's put the R34 and the RS4 on the Autobahn in Italy and see who wins. Guarantee the R34 wipes out on the corners while the RS4 hugs them all.

Too bad it won't make it to the end of the race. If I wanted AWD performance I'd stick with a built WRX

How many times has Audi won the 24 hours at LeMan's? 10...... Don't get me wrong I do love the WRX STi, but I'll take German engineering anyday over Nissan.

Plus what's really the point of a sports car in the U.S.?? You can't drive them like they are meant to be driven... legally.

Sure you can, it's called the track. Just like your LeMans. Every Audi I've had personal experience with was a pile of shit that broke down every 10,000mi or so for transmission failure usually. The 240Z L28's are still on the road today, neglected maintenance and all. Just say'n.

M3 is crap... Audi is crap.. what isnt crap to you? different people have different opinions.. it rubs me the wrong way that you think your opinion is the be all, end all. whether it be cars, suspension, etc.

anywho... I would love an Audi, unless someone gave me the choice between an audi or a GTR... im taking the GTR. :D

Can't say I've known people with Audi or VW issues. Owned both and nothing to complain about. But yeah, to each their own. Never owned a Nissan, nor would I. Was never a fan of 240 either so I can't comment on their reliability. Always preferred the Celica and Supra. Grew up around Toyota, and european model cars.

Yup, they are crap. Also I never said the M3 was crap, I said I wouldn't own a used beamer. Their maintenance package forces owners into their 12k maintenance regime. I said audi's are crap because they're unreliable at best and don't last. I said billies are crap, because they are crap. Serious man is serious.

But how many auto makers vehicles can go 10-12k before maintenance off the lot? I mean everyone is 5-7.5k for service. And you have break-in times for engines and everything else, Audi, BMW and MB do not have break-in times.

My buddies 3 series didn't make it. At 8K the oil light came on (at which point the engine is fucked long term from starvation). They told him "oh don't worry about it, just keep driving it and bring it in this week we'll top it off).

Also... every engine has a break in period. It's a matter on if it's done at the factory, or not. To say otherwise is pure ignorance in mechanics. Just saying.

Absolutely right, BMW and Audi do it at the factory so the idiot American who buy's it doesn't have to worry about blowing his engine and transmission before 10k.

Also... Audi does burn oil faster, fact, unsure about BMW but probably. That just comes with the territory. American technicians fail to realize this as they were taught in America at some tech school. Not at the factory where the car was made.
