ebay black headlights (JDM)

    i was thinking of ordering the black headlights off ebay... anyone have them and if so are they pleased with them, does any moisture get in them etc...

    I have them. No fogging. Good to go. Had them for a year or so.

    It's on www.neweggmall.com I made a post a week ago or so about them. Installed... look great. Only thing worth mentioning is the indicator lights are painted flat also (which I actually wanted).

    regardless of anything else...those black headlights on ebay are NOT JDM

    JDM means japanese domestic market...tacomas arent sold in the jap dom market...they have hiluxs

    So far mine haven't fogged, another member has them.. and they haven't either. However I'm in AZ for take it for a grain of salt. All you have to do is put a bead of silicon sealant around the seal, and you're fine. I was going to, but I inspected them and honestly, they're sealed extremely well already. I have no prob's recommending them myself.

    i have a question for those that have bought these or have done the MOD

    do they light up the same in the road as when they were all chrome cause i have a feeling that if i get these or do it. On the road i wont get that same lighting as when its all chrome please could someone answer my question

    The ones that used to be on newegg or anything using the factory lights... when doing the BHLM they will not reduce any lighting output unless you paint the reflectors themselves (the 'cup' type deal immediatly around the light). My turn signals were painted, and of course are a lot 'dimmer' than stock for that (though honestly they were to F'n bright to start with). The actual headlight themselves.... perfectly fine... no reduction.
