    Exactly. Around here you can't get an apartment for under $1000 a month, plus I don't like the idea of paying for something that I won't own. I'd rather buy a house and be able to make a profit off it someday.

    However, I'm paying $1000 a month for my truck payment, so after the added cost of monthly mods and gas, I have no monies for mortgage.
