wtt 98 tacoma grille for satoshi grille

want to trade my stock 98 grille for a satoshi grille

i think im just gonna make mine its not really that hard if you have a fiberglass kit and the mesh you would like

 

Yeah I have my oem grille(the one in the pic) just laying I'm my garage because I bought me a new black grille, I was thinking about making my oem grille a satoshi but scared that I might mess it up

 

do you have any tools like a dremmel? or air sander? that would make it a breeze but you could do it with hand tools it would just be alot more work.

i doubt you would mess it up. (maybe it wont be perfect) but worst that could happen is you could give up and never finish it.

 

Yeah I have a dremmel and a whole bunch of other tools, not sure what I did with my air sander, it should be somewhere in the garage, i might give it a try, post pics of your if you do it

 

i will. luckaly my gf works as a composite fabricator so i may just give it to her to do if she has the time lol. only becasue she gets free access to all the fiber glass and bondo she could ever need. or i may just have her bring some home for me. ill probably cut the center out on my own with my dremmel tool though.

there is a few write ups about bonding pieces of threaded rod to the grill to make mounting points for the mesh by threading nuts and washers to hold it in place. i think its the best way to do it.

 

Sweet man, sounds good, yeah the cutting part is pretty easy, the bondo and fiberglass are a little harder

i say sanding bondo is the hardest cuz thats gonna be the finished surface that will make or break how good it looks. the fiber glass can be nasty on the inside lol
