So I haven't read every post in here, but from toyota's site, is it right that the sport ONLY has the ugly 18" wheels as an option?

No. There are two TRD Sports; the regular and the upgrade.

The upgrade sport has the 18" chrome clad wheels.

hmmmm. So you can't get the DCSB in a sport without getting the upgrade package?

Or I am just living up to my username again.

EDIT. their build your own must not be working right. Cause when I look at it, it shows 2 off road packages (one with DRL's and 1 without) Then the sport upgrade package. No regular sport package.

The "build your own" thing on the website is porked. The truck I bought is impossible to build on that thing, and yet, here I've bought and everything.

I wouldn't take it as canonical is what I am saying. Your best bet is to find a salesperson with a clue and work with them.

Sport comes in two pacakges, regular and upgrade. The 18" wheels are part of the upgrade.

He told me it was a 2012 and that yes in fact my favorite color is being dis-continued =(. Tottally worth the 1K deposit to secure it :D. Refunded on delivery of course.

Wondering if anybody else from Nor-Cal was having problems acquiring a 2012 TRD Sport (not upgrade) DCLB 4x4 AT? I've been told by multiple dealers that the NorCal region was not allocated these trucks. Is this true? Thanks.

^ lol thanks. Yeah the dealer was not happy I was taking them off my trade. I was like they either go on my new one or I ain't signing a thing. Those things are like gold anymore. I actually managed to snag a spare one new in box bout a year ago just in case. :)
