Early last year I bought some 55w work lights and mounted them on my front bumper to fill in the sides/below while my high beams are on. Had to fabricate some inserts to fit between the fiberglass top and the actual steel when I mounted these. I'm planning on making a new angle iron front light bar but it's currently still on the drawing board

there pretty dang nice, haven't had any problems yet, and for the price they cant be beat. i don't have much experience with any other lights but there leaps and bounds better then stock. there 130watt pencil beams so the light reaches way out there. 4 is just about perfect to light up everything in front of you, if you were going to run 2 lights id go with a different beam pattern maybe the euro beams or something.

linky for some pics of my retro..
    http://customlightz.com/?p=p_268&sName=hans

complete putco neutron super high power led swap.

custom modded fx-r projectors 5five ballst and 5five bulbs 5k and i have a set of the phillips+ in 4300k which might go in still haven't decided yet

mcr shrouds with light diffusers and 2 ccfls per light buried with in :D

vision-x solstice cubes 2 flood beams and 2 euro beams.

2 hella 1000 series black magic lights behind the grill

soon to be vision-x reverse and puddle lights.

and the grand daddy quad retrofit running possibly one of three ways the arb fogs are soon to receive projectors either blazers with 3k bulbs for option 1 to run them as fogs only.

or another set of the fx-rs from bjorn over @ custom lightz to run a full quad set-up 55 wats again with either matching philips+ bulbs or the 5five 5k.

or the final and craziest option the s2k ap1 retrofit to run them as fogs 5five ballast and 3k bulbs:eek:

    ^^^^^
    Thats a badass setup

Is there any extra wiring you have to do with the projectors? Or is the main wiring just the bulb?

haven't had any problems with them, and they have the look I was lookin for, couldn't be beat for the price

    thanks :)

i can't wait to retro the arb fogs thats going to be insane! i have pretty much narrowed it down to either the fx-r 110 watt quad set-up.

or the s2k 55 watts 3k bulbs to run independently or as fogs. when the weather gets really shitty i can hit those and since the projector is the ap1 it will blow the fx-rs away.

they will be like the super frenched headlight for those times at the mall when it gets really bad

    Projector fogs are fuckin sweet.

There was a guy that wired LEDs into his fogs, I've been thinking about doing that to my blinkers....

Def get some pics up when you retro!

the addition of a true standalone HD relay harness is mandatory for 55 watt set-ups imo. they are extremely easy to install. the harness i mean lol.

and the same thing must be done when i retrofit the fogs in the future i'm probably going to wait until spring time to tackle any more lighting related mods though.
