    I hear ya. My GF's 1999 Corolla gets 36 or so on the freeway. Even though it sounds like it needs to shift the whole time. It does suck driving the freeway without cruise control though. :p

    Also - it doesn't have a tach. Even in an automatic - a tach is a nice thing to have.
