If I'm in the mood, and a telemarketer gets me on the phone, I play with them and string them along then BAZINGA I tell em to get off my F*#&EN phone(annoying men only):D...Or I put the phone down and walk away:)...or if my grandkids are over I give them the phone and let the marketer talk to them:eek:...They always seem to call at the most inopportune times so if they want to waste my time I will waste theirs...:anonymous:It is as Tom said a pet peeve of mine too:mad:...

They always want to upgrade your service and get you to get more channels by giving you a 30 day "FREE Trial" in hopes you forget to cancel so they can charge you...There is always "The Fine Print" with everything they are trying to huckster:facepalm:...Ken

Yup yesterday was the first day of winter. On the bright side, pun intended, we are getting 2 minutes more of daylight every day now.

Morning, all! A balmy 46 here in northeast PA on this first day of winter! Love it!!

Welcome, Donnie! You'll see a few of us kids playing around here - like Dennis the Menace, we're tolerated.

Got some projects to do today - have to stain 2 new rifle racks I got and then go into the TV station where Lynn wors and help her paint her office. By the time we get home, it will be time for a cocktail!!

Morning all....Thank You for Your Service Donnie:oldglory:...we have a good bunch on this thread...even a few youngun's that stop in from time to time:stirthepot:. I heated with anthracite for many years and always had the warmest house in the neighborhood...used a spackle bucket a day and it was a lot cheaper than arabian gold at the time...

Hi Mark.... sounds like you have a full day ahead of you. Don't mind staining:) but hate painting:eek:...I try everything I can to get out of it...

Tomorrow and Saturday is a busy day with shopping and getting ready for Christmas Eve dinner. we have a house full so we have to start getting ready tomorrow. Heres pic's from last year after it was set up...

That is exactly how I rationalize the short, dark days of winter.

    Hi Donnie Ho!

Good day to all us wise and mature ones.

Morning everyone!! It's about 39 here this morning - lots of rain last night. Looks like a brownish green Christmas this year.

Lynn and I got her office painted yesterday afternoon - took about 5 hours from start to finish. Had to move all the file cainets, safe, bookcases, etc and it took two coats to cover. But, it looks great now!!

After trying to stain these new rifle racks, I have decided that paintwill look better - so change in plans and another trip to the local hardware store to get black paint. At least I have a project to keep me busy for a few days.

    Have a great day!!

    Good Morning Gentlemen,

I'll be snow blowing about a foot of snow off the driveway when I get home this morning...and it's 18 degrees fahrenheit. If that makes you feel any better? :D

Sorry for stepping on the lawn ... been reading through your thread tonight and thoroughly enjoying it; especially the parts about Vietnam. THANK YOU for your service!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Gotta run before the rock salt and/or buckshot flies!

    I'll be back in 13 years...:D
