I want to get 1 10 inch sub in a ported box in my 2011 Tacoma dbl cab so my question is witch sub would you chose and why?

Adding in your personal sound system components is a plus as well.

Thanks and merry christmas and happy new year to all!!!

JL all the way.. Image Dynamics are very nice 'clean' subs.. JL's are just as good and gives more punch if you ask me. Costs more normally for JL.

Box size and port tuning? Or are you having a box built?

JL's are loud and sound good.. Hit harder than ID's.

Since you posted no model numbers your post is wrong and therefore useless. I've flagged it for deletion. Please refrain from posting.

Um, OK whatever you say... Seriously man did someone piss in your cereal this morning?

Every JL I've heard has hit harder than the ID's. Not sure why I need to put model number down for you. This is an opinion which the OP was asking for. But since your so picky here ya go:

    This doesn't hit as hard:

    http://shop.*********.com/Tacoma-Subwoofer-Enclosure-10-Loaded-DCT-TACO-SUB10-1L.htm

    As this:

    http://www.abt.com/product/43448/JL...=scfroogle&utm_medium=sc&utm_campaign=froogle

Could be the amp, deck, wires, or whoever tuned it. But so far, JL has been some of the hardest hitting subs out there for a good price.

Point being this smarty....ID makes different subs for different uses. The IDMAX is on par with the W7 in terms of output (and it's quite a bit more efficient). The JL W0 or W1 would get shit on by pretty much all of ID's lineup. Things like the W3's and W6's really do provide some good output.

If you're really intending to help the OP post model numbers so he actually has some direction to work with.

*and no two subs isn't a fair comparison to a single sub. Throw two ID's in the same box and then it's at least a fair fight.

At that power, in a ported box, I would get an Alpine Type R.

Will work in a smaller box, great on that power, and pretty cheap.

Should get plenty loud, and the newer ones sound good. They all are typical overhung drivers, without shorting rings or low distortion - no reason to spend extra money on one vs another.

I think I already gave you my opinion :D but I just wanted to mention the 10W3v3 will not fit properly without modification to the rear seat location.
