Suddenly that photo is actually scary!

 

I'm talking about when he was with Boston - it looked like he gave up on pucks in the corners. No grit. I hope he keeps his current pts streak going for a while, I'd like to see him help the Jets make the playoffs. That'd be great.

The fact that the Jets got a team back makes it sad to live in CT. We hear Whaler fans keep referring to Winnipeg saying "well if they got a team back then Hartford should be able to!" Not that easy, especially when the current AHL team is playing in a 37 year old building and there's no ground being broke on a new arena. Howard Baldwin is the owner of the CT Whale and is up to his old self again, making false promises at hockey "fans" in the area that he's trying to build a new rink. He has no money, no official support, and no attendance for his current team.

 

The Jets getting a team back makes sense because they are in Canada , Quebec City is next .

 

I agree - btw can't stand Vegas, Kansis City, or Portland being brought up as next in line for a team. I'd like to see Q.C. get a team. Bettman on the other hand might not like it.

 

I think Bettman has finally figured out that he can't force hockey into non-traditional markets and expect it to work , Kansas and Portland would probably be OK , but Quebec City is a no brainer .

 

The Lighting Franchise is putting a lot of money into the team to keep it in Tampa, the recently redid part of the arena

 

Quebec City is a small but frenzied market. How about Seattle? That would be great for the Canucks!
