So, I finally got around to having some used ICON's I bought off of Craigslist rebuilt and installed them. Got an alignment and not even close.

I recently found these UCA's which I think I got a screaming deal on? $225+shipping. When looking for used and abused TotalChaos or Camburg UCA's most got for around $350 and need rebuilding as well.

So I have a couple of questions on what I need to build these out? I have absolutely zero experience with aftermarket UCA's and have been trying to research rebuilding them and come up with nothing? Scheduled to have my frame replaced by the stealership in a couple of weeks and want to have these ready to go when that happens...hell, free labor is free labor.

Obviously, to start with, going to have them powder coated.

Parts? Cups, and uniballs are readily available on DezertRangers or race-dezert. So are misalignment spacers...but what am I looking for? 5/8" spacers? And, also 5/8" spindle adapters?

I don't think these are drilled for zerks? Do you really need zerks? Can I drill my own holes and buy self tapping ones from the big box auto parts store?

Figured I an measure out the pivot points and order bushings and sleeves from Energy Suspension?

And, as far as bolts, washers and lock nuts...can't I just pick up the appropriate sizes in hardened grade 8 or 10 from my local hardware store?

Am I on the right track? Is there a write-up somewhere that I am missing or haven't found?

I know, lots of questions, sorry 'bout that. But, appreciate any input.

First off, what was wrong with your alignment with the icons. If they are made for your truck you should have been good. Did you install them correctly??

Yeah I do have them installed correctly, ALTHOUGH, I did bend the lower mount tabs on the LCA's slightly when trying to get the old shocks bolts out? Ended up having to cut the old shocks out at the lower mounting points. Did my best to straighten the tabs back.

Got the ICONS's cranked up to about 2.5" of lift.

After getting the alignment done on a Hunter machine, they got the camber and toe to very close to 0 but, they could only get the caster to about .4?

It won't be perfect. I'm not sure what the limits are for the alignment. But long as it's within spec.

Caster is supposed to be closer to 2.5 and researching here, the aftermarket UCA's will get it there.

Hey those are the Race Dezert arms. You need probably two 1' uniballs. Four misalignment spacers. two clips. Slug Adaptor for the spindle. Complete Bushing kit. Grade 8 bolt 3/4" bolt i belive it is. Do they need Zirks sure, put them on. Or just make sure they are greased.

Sure does help. Thank you. I am assuming that the lips can be powdered, and the insides all have to be taped? Now to decide what color???

Yes they are from Race-Dezert, Solo Motorsports built them. I figured they were a pretty good deal. My only question is that so many of the misalignment spacers look different from the ones available from TotalChaos or Camburg, are there any that are wrong?

    http://www.dezertrangers.com/vb/parts-accessories/147076.htm

That's an old post on DezertRangers, and already sold, but, I believe, exactly what I am looking for?

And a pic of 8 misalignment spacers available, 5/8"-3/4", would need those too? But, only 4?

Again guys thanks for your input.

Hey thanks Anthony, saw that FK setup on eBay earlier...

You MUST be the same Anthony250 looking for used 1" uniballs on DezertRanger???

I am figuring that I can purchase all the stuff on the eBay ad separately from the forums alot cheaper!
