Similar experience. I hit a girl 3 doors down the block. I didn't even see her. My dad took a hammer to the Daisy.
Jim, Thanks for reviving the memory.

Way too early for the egg nog for me, guests not arriving until 6.

    Merry Christmas to all.

Ken the movie was actually pretty good. Fast paced action for the entire flick with a lot of verbal and visual jokes. A lot of decent laughs throught the entite movie.

Special effects were nice as well. Go see it on a weekday when everyone is at work.

A pretty solid 5th place this weekend, so far, at the box office.

Couldn't stop myself from dropping in to wish you all a Merry Christmas!:)

I just really enjoy reading your thread ... what a great bunch of folks in here!

Rob, You're post was the best! Both the good health report for your wife bringing back the true meaning of the season, and that 1958 Red Ryder BB gun. Awesome stuff there. :D

Jim, Your story about getting yours busted by your Dad reminded me of having my sling shot taken away when I shot the neighbor's brand new VW Beetle in 1971. I was only 5 or 6, don't think my Dad or I knew I could shoot it that well ...

 What's that; I think I have a phantom burning sensation in my butt;):D.

God Bless You All! Peace and happiness in 2012.

    v/r Rob

Morning everyone! We had a quiet Christmas here at home. Went to church, then relaxed until we went down the hill for dinner at Lynn's parent's. Then spent the evening relaxing and watching some TV.

Today I plan on hanging the new rifle racks down in the family room, put up some pictures and re-hang the pool que rack.

Hmmm, when will I find time for a nap?

Looking forward to seeing War Horse, too. Thanks for the review, ken!!

Got to see the granddaughters jump on their new trampoline  via skype. And was on the "phone" with them for two hours. Not the same as in person, but better than nothing.

evening all: plan A didn't work today. hunted near a swamp where dogs were chasing snowshoe hares. deer usually move because of the dogs. done this before and have seen deer, but not this time. they probablly ran out the other end. :pout::notsure:

anyone watch 60 min? caught something about a company "OWNING" (patenting) certain human genes. that's :crapstorm: it's amazing; all the BS that's out there. I wouldn't want to speculate on who has $$$$ in that co.

Morning everyone! Got some small projects to do today - take the recycling to the drop off, take our chocolate lab in to the vet for his check-up and get some more work done on my dissertation. I'm sure some other things will come up along the way. Quiet week, though, until Friday when we have our annual holiday party here at MMM.

    Have a great day!
