    sounds good man...i'm still a 3C2 in the guard. just note that all 3C and 2E positions are going through a revamp some FY 2010 and everyone will be a 1BXXX, depending on the job

    Hey, whats up mang! Just remember, Basic is just a game. They will try to put a lot of pressure on you guys, it's all a game. They will give you imposible situations that do not have a solution. Then when you fail they freak out on you. It's just a big game. Stay under the radar, don't volunteer for any thing. If the TI can't remember your name, you are doing good. KP duty is the shit! That IS somthing to volunteer for. Get on pots and pans. More food and 12 hour break from everything. The french toast in basic is soooooo good, but it's a trap. That stuff will put you to sleep fast. And thats the last thing you want when you are doing training on the drill pad. Um... And just remember, basic and tech school are not the air force, Totaly diffrent. Real thing is not bad at all. I wish you best of luck bro!!!!

    yeah...definately volunteer for KP and for the day to day jobs, volunteer for laundry crew....time away from the TI's 3 times a week. good shit

    I've served 25 years in the Army and wouldn't trade the experience for anything but if my son asks me for advice I would say go Air Force. They have a better quality of living.

    And don't worry about Basic, it's just Air Force Basic. It's like an 8 week party

    All very accurate statements...Air Force basic training is based on making you mentally strong...the end goal is to train you to be able to perform effectively in a stressfull environment...

    I prefer cleaning the stairwell during basic instead of laundry. During daily cleaning everybody is inside yelling at everybody to sweep and clean the toilets while your outside in the stairwell chillin with no stress...

    Some think flying below the radar will cost them the opportunity at honor grad....not true at all...if you do well during your fitness test, inspections and test you will get it even if the TI doesn't know your name...

    But remember, DO NOT VOLUNTEER FOR ANYTHING...

    P.S. Next time your in the Stan... look around when you walk off the plane, everything you see around you???? Its called an Air Base. And from there they launch the killing machines that allow you to sit on a ridge and watch the enemy die, that is when the Air Force TACP that is assigned to your unit calls them in from the sky above.

    yeah, but laundry crew doesnt do shit for daily cleanings except dor laundry days....we also got pushed to the front of the line to get chow. be and the guy beside me got honor grad. pretty easy. not sure what all they've added since i went in 01, but warrior week was the best

    I think that is more of a case by case situation...because in our flt it's not like we said, "hey everybody is busting their ass every morning and night cleaning the toilets but since you do laundry three times a week you don't have to clean"

    If you got away with that, good on you, but I don't think that is the norm..
