found these headlights and want some opinions.. also not sure if the 10000 hid is legal in new york

 

Just curious why do you want 10,000K lights? 4100K is pure white light anything above or below you're just losing output. Anything below is yellowish and above get blue to purple. That high of kelvin your light would be useless at night it would just light the road 10 feet in front you with purple light. A few threads for some good reading.

Edit: Looked at the link that's a waste of $150. For that you can do a projector retro.

don't get the 10k's... my 8ks are walking the line with blue light...try find the headlights and buy HID's seperate

im not to familiar with the whole "hid" concept i was just browsing and came across those lights. im looking to replace my stock ones due to condensation build up and when i was looking i started to like the blackish or smoked out look.. the lights in the link came with the 10k hids, which is why i was curious to what they were. the links you posted were very helpful explained it clearly.. i have heard the black bezel replacement lights are very popular, good quality, and give the truck a nice look. if i get those what would you recommend for bulbs or about just keeping the stock ones.

 

If you buy them the first thing you need to do is throw away those 10,000 K HID's. Put in a 4,300 K or 5,000 K HID RETROFIT. Please do not put HID's in a reflector housing. You will blind anyone coming towards you. Here is a link to retros:

the headlights themselves look cool, just put your stock bulbs back in them & save the hid kit for a light saber project

If you do get them, make sure you seal them up very good. There is a 95% chance they will fog.
