Been trying to find a video on youtube to see how the side sliding windows work, but I cannot find any.

I'm looking specifically at the ARE CX shell, but I figure all side sliding doors are similar. How do you slide them around? Is it only from the inside? How do you go about locking them?

    Thanks!

I have a ARE MX cap. The sliders open and unlock from the inside.
I got the windoors which I think are fantastic. They make loading things and grabbing things that have rolled to the front easy.

Like they've said open/unlock from the inside at the middle of the window where the two pieces of glass meet. I've got a CX, pretty sure the sliders are the same on most brands.

For security, I like a solid window in the shell. Its easier to break into a shell, then from there they can break into the cab thru your truck slider without being noticed as much...
For cleaning, I have had all variations of the back window, and sure the fold down window will make things easier to clean, but I never had a problem cleaning the glass with any set up. Many manufactures use slider windows that do not line up with the cab window slider, so that may be an issue to think about as well.

For clarification I was referring to the side windows of the topper, not the window that meets the cab. Mine has a solid window there.

I agree, mine doesn't get that dirty anyways. Every few months I will just loosen up the bolts, slide the cap back about 6 inches. Clean the glass. Then slide it back into place and re-tighten the bolts. Takes 5-10 minutes.

As for the sliding side windows. My leer has them and like others said, the latch is in the middle. Mine are a little difficult to open since I don't open them much.
