So, I was changing the oil in my truck this past weekend and decided to rotate my tires as well.. Figured I would take a picture of my leaf springs with the weight of the truck on them while the tires were off and post up here to find out what yall think?

my truck has 116k miles on it... double cab 4x4 2003.

I am pretty sure I at least need new shocks but if I need new springs as well I would probably purchase all of them at the same time. I can tell where my front is bottoming out on the bumpstop pretty frequently... I do not wheel my truck at all..

so, here is a picture of my leaf spring for yalls consideration..

    thanks for your help!!

The spring just looks really flat to me and if it is flat then it wont provide any travel... am i right in thinking that?

p.s. sorry if the picture is too big.. I have no idea how to do a thumbnail

Yeah, they look a little saggy. If it were me I would replace them.

I 'd go with the Billies set at stock height. I don't know how the OME would ride with stock coils.

Could try a progressive style add-a-leaf pack, most of which just replace your overload leaf. Or if you want to drop some serious dime, try the 4-leaf HD pack from Wheeler's (wheelersoffroad.com). They run $450 but you can re-use your stock u-bolts. Wheelers also has the 3-leaf AAL for sale.

uhh wut? I wouldnt go with this Mods advice
well you can get billies but you cant "set" them in the back to stock height. And getting new shocks in the back wont even help those flat leaf springs. (Adjustable bilsteins are for the front, and the OP needs leafs not coils)
you probablly need a new leaf pack, or possible just an AAL, but that might not help much.

    This ^^.

Given the apparent condition of your leafs, OP, I don't think AALs will do much for you. Even if thry help in the short-term, they won't last because they're intended only to augment (not replace) existing/functional leafs.

Many of us are happy with , suggested by misterdmac. The 4-leaf pack restores stock ride height, while the 5-leaf pack provides about 1.5" of lift. (Given the sag in my OEM leafs, which looked a lot like yours, I ended up with about 2" of lift.)

^^ This, Wheelers 4 pk for stock(ish) height and ride, 5 pk for a bit more lift.
