    Nice !!
Gotta tell me how those egg beaters work for you.
I had mine for a while, but found they were too slippery in the snow, rain and mud. Eventually went to Time Atacs.
    Bike looks good.

    Here's a picture from today's ride.

I went to Skyline Ridge Open Space Preserve which is in the hills that separate the South Bay Area from the ocean. It's a part of the Bay Area Ridge Trail (which is open to mtb).

Looks like it was a beautiful day to go riding. So jelly the awesome terrain, compared to the crappy terrain of South Texas. :D

It was a great day to go riding. A short distance away from that shot, I saw a mountain lion which is pretty rare (someone said you can pass one on the trail and not see or hear it).

    Thanks!

Love the egg beaters. I've been riding them for 8 years now and never have had an issue. The plan was to get my first ride in this afternoon but we received 1.5" of rain yesterday which makes the trail off limits. Calling for snow this weekend so that may freeze the mud so I can get a few miles in??

You know I never thought I would make the switch! Let alone get away from my GT Carbon Expert with 6" of travel. But I got in ride number two this afternoon and just love this thing! I was a non believer but am on my way to being a convert! :D

    I don't. I use a hitch mounted rack.

You have a couple of choices. Yakima makes something called the Beddy Joe that you put in the bed. About $140.

Another idea is to buy two bed rail mounts and mount then to a 2x4. For added stability, add a couple of "feet" to the 2x4. Definitely cheaper than the Beddy Joe.

I have the mounts bolted directly through the bed. You might could put them on a 2x4 but there's not much room for adjustment. I only had this set up for a little while, but it worked ok.
