Hello all. I need some help. I am getting ready to replace my transmission and I need a pic of the tv cable on the tb for a 1st gen 3.4L. I want to make sure that this is done correctly when I do it and a pic is worth a thousand words so to speak. I know that the spec is 1mm but a pic would be alot better. Thanks in advance!

Yes the technical name is a throttle valve cable (tv) but it is also referred to as the kickdown cable. It is the one that goes from the tb to the transmission.

I just looked. I don't think my '03 has one. I guess 03s & 04s don't have the cable with the drive by wire throttle body?

    Here's mine:

Wow, I didn't know that. So 2003 is the only die by wire first gens?

I wonder if I can use it to my advantage and wire up an electric hand throttle of some kind?

yeah you don't want the tbw, when your TPS fails, you're out $550 for a rebuilt Throttle body, instead of just the $35 for a sensor...
