    Top 5 picks:
    1. BMW 3 series preferably 325whatever or M3
    2. Older Porsche 911 turbo.
    3. Newer Boxster S, FWIW My Dad got his Boxster S for 22g in april of 2010 with only 30k miles. Very good cars.
    4. Mazda Miata, possibly one of the best toy cars for the money just a little on the small side but when I sit in one it's just fine and I'm 6'0'' 240lbs.
    5. Subbie WRX, I will own one of these one day.

Black series? I love a Mercedes when it's been built up tastefully. especially C and E classes.

Black series was just too much $$$$$ for a daily driver... Picked up a 03 with 18k and all options.

C5 Corvette Z06... You can make them sinister fast if you so desire, or it can be made into more a cruiser if you want that route. I hope to own one of these once I get out of school.

Genesis coupe. Older Audi S4. I'd like a new Mustang 5.0, not sure if you could find a used one already for that price though.

Very odd man. I was under the impression they all used Toyota engines.

And you say that the STI was like riding in a race car yet you say that the Exige was like riding in a go cart because it was loud and sits low. I'm thinking you got your wires crossed somewhere or you don't know what a "race" car actually feels like.

I have always had a hard on for the STI though. I recall having to write a poem in high school and I wrote it about the STI lol

I'd LOVE a turbo supra but here's the problem....I wont spend $25G's on a high mileage car that's over 15 years old. I'm an enthusiast, not stupid. What I HAVE considered is getting another Lexus IS300. I owned one and always wanted to boost it. They have the non-turbo supra engine in them. With upgraded internals and a turbo (along with a tranny swap) those things are just stupid fast. Something about a turbo 2JZ hitting boost sets me on fire...

Along the lines of an STI I've also thought about getting a Legacy GT. I almost bought one a while back. If I could land a SpecB I probably would end up in one of those. They had the same 6speed as the STI's so I KNOW I could make power and put it down.

The thing I really like about the Lotus though is that it looks wild as fuck. I'd crack a smile every time I walk up to it.

Yes, Toyota supplies the motors to Lotus. I think the friend mentioned above drives the car hard considering the amount of damage he has inflicted. I think a Lotus would be a blast as well considering their power to weight ratio and I thought they were supposed to handle like go karts?

    1) 289 cobra replica with a 302 in it. i'd say a 427 but you'll never find one for $25K, unless it was a pos. hands down the wildest ride ever and there are some really good, well made replicas out there. alternatively you could find a real sunbeam tiger with the 302, basically the same thing. and they are appreciating in value.
    2) wrx sti - if you ever drove one of these, the last word to come to your mind would be "practical."
    3) first gen bmw m3. also another car you could drive it for 5 years, and sell it for more than you paid for it.

a friend of mine has a lotus elise. the thing i can't stand about the lotus? no low end torque. and yes it has a toyota engine.

oh yeah, almost forgot about this one: ariel atom. find a more insane ride, i dare you....

I don't think the Atom comes in under even under $30k.

TTAC refuses to allow their editors to be compensated by car company employees. They can buy them lunch or dinner, but that's about it.

This review of the Subaru Tribeca got them banned from reviewing subarus and BMWs for a couple years because the reviewer said the grille looked like a flying vagina:

    http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/2007/07/subaru-tribeca-review/

This is the only car site I read, because it's the only one worth reading.
