Ford is definitely my #1-#2 automaker right now... I like what they are doing with their vehicles lately

You could buy a cheap Miata that has a blown motor/trans and put a Ford 5.0 V8 in it. Talk about quick, my Dad autocrosses the Boxster I mentioned in my previous post and nothing other than the V8 Miata has beat him, granted we've only been to 3 races but that's still saying something.

All new engines for the 2011s. Trannies have been "ironed out", and luckily their drivetrain warranty is on par with ToMoCos.

I like a LOT of what Ford has been doing lately. My daily driver is a Corolla, so it will never die, but if it did tomorrow I'd be looking hard at the current model Focus to replace it.

M3bassman, I've wanted a Caterham since the first time I saw one. If I could afford one that would be at the VERY top of my list, no question. Are those even legal in the states? Prices on those are like $60k no?

And I agree that what Ford has been doing lately has been incredible. The updates to the mustang have made it better and better every single year. Now it's just an unbelievable car. Performance wise it's probably a very solid choice. But truthfully I've never wanted to own one.

Me too. Building it would be half the fun!
Me too...but I have a one car garage in my apartment and fun comes before nostalgia. Gotta make cuts....at least until I'm rich and have a 5 car garage or storage unit.

How about a delorean? You can get a flux capacitor in it, and there is a place in Texas I think has all the parts to make it almost new again.

Terminator cobras are a good buy in my opinion right now. They've taken most of their depreciation and low mileage cars are still available.

16K miles on this black '04.

$25 would probably move it. I agree with the post above that the 2011 is a wicked car but it's going to devalue quite a bit and probably will never appreciate. You could drive that '04 a few thousand miles more per year fo the next 20 and it will probably be worth about the same if not more than what you paid.

Plus I'm a sofite for that body style since I drove one for 7 years.

What's the verdict on the new Evo's? I'd imagine not as much power potential since they no longer have the 4G63 in them? I'm not familiar with the new engine.

I happen to be a mitsu fan boy :p. There's ton's of power potential in the new evo x. There good up to 450 wtq before you'll blow a rod through the block :p. Furthermore you can easily make 300whp on simple mods, turbo back exh, intake, tune etc... I could go into endless detail if we want :D.
