anybody ever shampoo a cloth interior? themselves or had a detailer do it? or just soap wash it yourself? thanks dudes

This is the best wax you can use for winter protection. Your trucks finish will still be beading at 4 months after the application.

 

hey there question for you oh master detailer =P I just got a can of Meguiar's cleaner wax any opinions on it and should i be doing something to my car before i apply this wax

Tony:
Just make sure that the Tacoma is washed and dried before applying the wax. Use a clean applicator pad to apply the wax and have two or 3 clean microfiber towels to remove the wax. Both of these items are made by Megs and available at the chain auto stores.

 

Any recommendations for buying bulk microfiber?

 

I like microfibertech or pakshak. I have used towels from both places and they are good.

 

Yep. MFTech is good and its where a large majority of your online vendors buy their microfiber from before reselling it

 

95SLE thanks =D my truck was washed like 2 weeks ago and it still looks clean imma go and wax it down =P any downside of it not being washed the same day?

would u guys know how to clean the applicator spongue thingy mine got all dirty and wont get clean X.x

 

I use an all purpose cleaner and rinse it out in the sink. Mine come clean every time. If that doesn't work, I would just by a new one.

 

Dish washing soap then rinse well.

 

I am moving to Sought Dakota shortly and the temperature gets down to like -20F needless to say there will be salt on the road and snow on the ground. What can I do during the winter about washing weekly or bi-weekly? Is there something I can do in the late summer months or early in the fall to help preserve the wash? What can I do to prepare? I am worried about my beautiful paint lol. Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you.

 

Find a touchless car wash and follow that with a decent quick detailer.

To get ready for that envirnoment I would use a quality sealant such as Zaino followed by a quality hybred wax and my choice for this would be Fuzion.

ONR really works well.

 

the ONR washes.... if truck is really dusty should i hose it down with water first then proceed to my normal cleaning? ??

 

Search is a PITA on my phone. I have a Porter Cable 7424, and I have four pads (no instructions). I have these pads: white, green, blue and orange. I also have a buffing bonnet. What roles do I use each pad for? With the buffing bonnet, do I just put this on one and buff the wax off?
